The island of Hiddensee

The island Hiddensee belongs to the nature reserve Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft and is located west of Rügen in the Baltic Sea. Hiddensee has a size of 18 km², is 17 km long and at its widest point 3.7 km. It can be reached from the mainland / Stralsund with passenger ships (travel time approx. 2 h) and from the island of Rügen/Schaprode with passenger ships (travel time 45 min) or water taxis (travel time 15 min).
